What are the options for virtual therapy?You have two options for virtual therapy – video or phone. We use a secure video software that has been designed for use in therapy, so it is confidential and user friendly.

It can be done from anywhere, giving you the ultimate flexibility and avoiding any challenges around scheduling, travel time, or childcare. Not only is it convenient, but there can be a certain sense of safety in embarking into therapy from the comfort of your own space. Is video therapy effective?Currently, virtual therapy is believed to be just as effective as traditional face-to-face therapy. Studies are showing benefits and consistent treatment outcomes. It is also an emerging field and more research is needed to fully establish the long-term effectiveness of virtual therapy.

Is virtual therapy secure and confidential?Any time there is use of technology, we cannot guarantee that it is 100% confidential. That being said, we take every precaution to ensure confidentiality. Our video therapy platform is designed for therapy and meets all of the security requirements necessary to comply with Ontario’s privacy legislation (the Personal Health Information Protection Act). Forms, payments, and other communication also take place within this secure online environment.
