What to Expect

The decision to seek help is often not an easy one, so our goal is to make this process as easy and comfortable as possible for you.  Knowing what to expect can sometimes be helpful. You're taking that first step, and here is what to anticipate going forward.

  • A response to your request for an appointment within 2 business days

  • Support in selecting a therapist aligned with your needs

 

  • Options for an appointment for an initial session based on your schedule

​

  • An assessment of your history, problems, and goals (usually completed within the first 1-2 sessions)

 

  • Regular sessions at intervals that are comfortable for you in the setting of your choice (office, video, etc.)

​

  • A judgment-free environment in which you can feel safe to express yourself

 

  • A collaborative relationship with your therapist where you will work together to achieve your goals
